I- Honda Group Business results in FY 2015 and forecast in FY 2016
In FY 2015, motorcycle sales of Honda Group is 17.765 million units, up 4.4% and automobile sales reaches 4.364 million units, up 0.9%. In the Asian market in particular, Honda gets the growth of 6.7% for motorcycle business thanks to the increased sales in India, Indonesia and Vietnam and 10.8% for automobile business thanks to the increased sales in Indonesia, India and China. With the improvement of sales for automobiles and motorcycles, Honda’s turnover gains the growth of 6.8%.
Honda expects that with its solid foundation and great efforts, the FY 2016 will witness higher growth rate in all 3 sectors with the volume target of 18.225 million motorcycles units, 4.715 million automobile units and 6.360 milion power products, in which Asian market will play strategic role.
Besides, by the racing passion considered as DNA, Honda accompanying with Mc Lauren to come back F1 racing in 2015. Honda is proudly being The Champion of MotorGP.
II- Honda Vietnam
Beside the main production plants, HVN also attaches much importance on expanding production facilities. Apart from the Casting workshop which was built in 2001, the Sintering plants and Spare part center were officially put into operation in 2013. Most recently, Piston workshop of the highest production capacity in Honda Group also started operation. The establishment of modern and firm facilities are the foundation to help HVN increase average localization rate up to 95% for motorcycle for best meeting domestic as well as export demand.
- Motorcycle: Business result and plan
Over the year, HVN continuously launched many new models for the diversified selection of customers. And especially, HVN introduced the first clutch model namely MSX to the market with hope to create new trend for motorcycle fun. In the FY 2016, HVN will introduce around 10 new models to better satisfy customers’ demand.
For the higher satisfaction from customers, the advanced technologies have been equipped to HVN products. Over the year, by applying eSP – the new generation engine to VISION, HVN have completed our objective to use eSP for all HVN scooter models.
In the FY 2015, we continued opening more 10 HEADs and 6 HSFs nationwide, increasing total number of HEADs to 671 and HSFs to 23 for bringing the products and after – sales service closer to nationwide customers.
The year 2015 marks an important milestone when the 2 most expected event chains of Honda Vietnam have been combined into one newly called Honda BeU Plus. With interesting content with practical activities, it is not only together with young people but also provides customers with chances to get experience genuine products and sevice, at the same time bringing Honda brand come closer to customers nationwide. Besides, in order to create playing ground for who love motorsport and racing, HVN have organized the motorcycle racing in Binh Duong on 30th Apr. This activies will be conducted throughout this year.
During the FY 2015, beside concentrating on the domestic business, we also strived to push up export. Almost HVN products meet standards to be exported overseas. The exported CBU reached 91,000 units, marking a 179% increase compared with previous year with total value at $245 million. In the FY 2016, we will strengthen export value to $345 million which is about 41% increase to this year.
- Automobile: Business result and plan
With constant efforts to provide customers with excellent experience and higher satisfaction, in the past year, Automobile business of HVN has continuously introduced to the market new versions of the whole products portfolio in Vietnam with comprehensively upgraded appearance and features. Maintaining core values that have created the brand of Honda, and with the integration of advanced technologies and sporty futuristic design, newly launched versions have been highly acclaimed by customers. Closing FY 2015, City and CR-V continues to gain the position as one of the best-selling models in small sedan segment and 5-seat SUV segment in Vietnam market, while Civic and Accord always have special attraction, be the most favorite brands of its segment with customer who love sporty design, high-class features and outstanding driving feeling of Honda.
In the past year, Automobile business of HVN also actively expanded dealer network in Central region with the opening of two new dealers: Honda Automobile Thanh Hoa and Honda Automobile Nha Trang. Through increasingly strong dealer network, Automobile business of HVN committed to do our utmost to provide customers with highest quality of products and after-sales service.
In FY 2016, Automobile business of HVN is expected to increase sales volume by 10% to around 7,200 units with various activities such as introduction of new versions with advanced features and top quality, maximize test-drive activities, strengthen marketing activities and enhance service quality. In addition, we will continue to promote Honda Automobile Brand Image with the core values: Fuel efficiency - Advanced Technologies – Outstanding Safety and expand dealer network to bring genuine products and services to more and more customers, meet customer satisfaction at highest level.
