Bangkok, Thailand - AP Honda, official distributor of Honda motorcycles in Thailand, is boosting the market with its three new models from 500Series – New Honda CBR500R, New Honda CB500F, and New Honda CB500X. All New Honda Africa Twin – the ultimate adventure bike – will also be premiered to the Thai market at the Booth G04 in Motor Expo 2015 at Impact Challenger, Muang Thong Thani from December 2 to 13, 2015.
“The big bike market segment in Thailand has consistently grown in 2015. There were 18,400 units of new registration for all brands in the first 11 months, accounting to 21% growth, compared to the same period of last year. Honda swept 6,300 units of new registration, accounted for 32% growth, or about 34% of the over all market share,” said Suchart Arunsaengroj, Director of AP Honda Co Ltd.

“Meanwhile, we are also premiering All New Honda Africa Twin – the ultimate adventure bike – which won the world’s toughest rally, Dakar Rally 4. The All New Honda Africa Twin has been developed with its adventure touch to be used on both off-road and on-road under the “CRF1000L” model – the top model of CRF series. The strength of new model is powered by advanced technology from Honda which has been designed to serve both off-road and on-road in the city. The All New Honda Africa Twin will be available for booking early next year.”
The New Honda CBR500R – big sport bike – comes with its boldness and flexibility. The new LED headlight and taillight have been designed separately from the seat. The passenger seat has been designed to be shorter, giving sport touch. The model comes in three colors which are Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic, Millennium Red, and Indy Gray.
The New Honda CB500F is the naked bike that’s been re-designed from head to tail, revealing the engine and frame. The new LED headlight and taillight that’s separated from the seat is the new touch. The model comes in three color options which are Candy Energy Orange, Matt Gunpowder Black Metalic, and Lemon Ice Yellow.
The New Honda CB500X is the adventure big bike which has been designed with flexibility. The new LED headlight and taillight is only a change among others. The model offers high wind shield. It comes with four color options: Millennium Red, Matt Fresco Brown, Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.
The three models are powered by the 2-cylinder 500CC DOHC, water-cooler, and new soft-touch gear shift system. The models are empowered by the ABS system and Wave Key, and new front absorber that’s equipped with preload adjuster. The new brake lever can be adjusted to five levels, to meet the different levels of a rider’s comfort sitting position. The exhaustion fume pipe of the New CBR500R and CB500F is the bonus which have been re-designed to give a full sport look and softer but powerful sound.
The new 500Series will be open for booking for the first time in the world at the Motor Expo 2015. The suggested retail price is Bt215,000 for New Honda CBR500R; Bt210,000 for New Honda CB500F; and Bt220,000 for New Honda CB500X. The bonus offer is the 3.75% interest rate for the installment payment scheme.
