Powered by dreams, Honda made a milestone by rooting in Taiwan for 15 years
Taipei, Taiwan - Since its inception for sale in 2002, Honda Taiwan has been powered by dreams to rooting in Taiwan for 15 years, all while following the two main business guidelines of remaining “No. 1 ranking in customer satisfaction” and “Being a company that society wants.” During its deep cultivation of the Taiwan market over the past 15 years, Honda Taiwan has accomplished a myriad of remarkable achievements such as rolling out high-quality products and providing an above-par purchase environment and a sound service system. Honda Taiwan is also officially announcing that it has introduced to Taiwan the “Power Product Business” of the Japanese automaker, a business that has been going on for 65 years. In years to come, the two-wheel and four-wheel business, as well as the power product businesses will become Honda Taiwan’s three key business units, each with equal importance. The company will continue providing customers with products and services surpassing their expectations so that the joy of Honda in its pursuit of dreams can be spread to more people.
 
Honda become customers’ favorite SUV brand in Taiwan
Taiwan is the top country that Honda cooperates with in business abroad. In 2002, Honda returned to the Taiwanese market with 100% Japanese capital, a significant move for its following development. During the early stage of its re-entry into the Taiwan market, Honda Taiwan started off with the four-wheel business. Adopting global Honda’s standardized manufacturing processes , the company introduced models to Taiwan that are not only highly competent but also fun to drive. It established an integrated customer service system that incorporates car sales, customer service, and car maintenance, the first pioneer in Taiwan. It brought a completely new experience to consumers in Taiwan, also sending a shockwave through the local market. In 2017, Honda Taiwan achieved an outstanding record in its four-wheeled sales, selling a total of 34 thousand unit, an increase of around 25% from last year. It set a record in the company’s history. Over the past 15 years, Honda Taiwan has been recognized by 360,000 satisfied customers.

With CR-V and HR-V, which were positioned to access the global market, characterized by their innovation, and meeting market requirements, Honda Taiwan won praise from more than 200,000 buyers, making it the No. 1 SUV brand in the eyes of local customers.
 
Starting two-wheel business and winning No. 1 large heavy-duty motorcycle title with world-leading models
In 2015, Honda Taiwan came up with the tagline “Be Your Wing” to introduce the island to Honda Motorcycle business, which has the largest share of the world’s motorcycle market. Three years on, the company’s motorcycle arm has brought to 16 different models to the local market, meeting various functional requirements and satisfying those customers that had long awaited their arrival. With the support of so many great products, HTW reached a total of 2,449 motorcycles sold in 2017, an increase of 60% from the previous year and a record high in three years. In the category of red-plated 550cc motorcycles, Honda Taiwan has the largest market share in Taiwan. Honda Motorcycle has set up five flagship branches across the country with the highest standards. It operates in compliance with the 6S mechanism of the original Japanese maker so as to establish a complete after-sales service system and maintain high service quality. With its world-leading products and services, Honda Motorcycle can bring the joy and fun of bike riding to heavy-duty motorcycle owners here in Taiwan.
 
Starting power product business brings more “joy of use convenience”
To bring even more joy to its customers, Honda Taiwan will continue its deep cultivation of the Taiwan market, an effort reflected through its introduction of its Power Product business to Taiwan, which has been operating in Japan for 65 years. The “Power Product Business”, which has “making contributions to people’s life on the basis of technologies derived from engines” as its aim, now operates around the world, with more than 6 million products of the category sold each year.

Here in Taiwan, we hope that by providing products like generators, lawn mowers, farming equipment, water pumps and relevant services, we will bring the “joy of use convenience” to more customers, mainly those in the agricultural industry and construction industry.
 
Marking a new milestone with safer and more environment-friendly development after 15 years’ deep cultivation of local market
In 2017, Honda Taiwan, with its strong product line and overall business capability, reached record highs in both its two-wheel and four-wheel sales. The outlook for Honda Taiwan in 2018 is for it to surpass current levels of customer satisfaction to higher ones and reach more challenging sales objectives. Four-wheel set sale goal  to reach 40,000 units, an 18% annual growth rate, while two-wheel goal to reach 3,200 unit, a 30% annual growth rate.
 
After 15 years’ of effort in Taiwan, Honda Taiwan, operating in the direction of sustainable development, will continue its deep cultivation of the local market based on brand value accumulated over the past 15 years. In respect to brand development, the vision for the company is for it to move toward safer and more environment-friendly operations and keep creating Honda brand experience that lives up to customers’ expectations and brings them much more joy.
