Seoul, Korea - Honda Korea (www.hondakorea.co.kr, CEO Woo-Young Chung) announced on April 2 that Honda will participate in the 2015 Seoul Motor Show, which is to be held with the theme “Experience the Technology, Feel the Artistry,” and will present Honda’s vision that future automobile technology should seek as a next-generation mobility enterprise.
Based on booth concepts dubbed “Another vision of looking at Honda,” the car maker will introduce various exhibition models and unique programs, and will unveil special exhibition models that are entirely different from previous motor shows.
- ‘All-New ASIMO,’ the peak of mobility technology
All-New ASIMO, introduced in the nation for the first time, is a humanoid robot born through Honda Robotics technology, and has been upgraded to a body structure which can perform walking, jumping, jumping on one leg, and dancing. Through the use of sensors and ultrasound devices, the robot can keep its balance and sense moving objects.
Honda plans to gradually apply such advanced IT technology used to develop ASIMO to various products other than robots and create a harmonious fusion between the life of mankind and technology in the future.
- Robot technology turns into automobile technology
The cutting-edge technology that started with the Honda’s robot technology was also used in the high-tech hybrid sedan Legend Hybrid and the prototype for the compact SUV HR-V.
Legend Hybrid is a top-class flagship sedan and features built-in Honda SENSING, Honda’s advanced safety system. Thanks to Honda SENSING technology, external situations can be recognized and accidents prevented through sensors and cameras. Various advanced safety technologies where Honda SENSING technology was applied were even introduced in the compact SUV HR-V, such as speed control and a signal sensing system.
Furthermore, Honda’s Twin Motor Unit (TMU), the core technology of Legend Hybrid, will also be shown so that customers can directly check the current status of Honda's hybrid powertrain technology.
Along with this, the Honda Curator program, which has created a new motor show culture, will be further upgraded at the 2015 Seoul Motor Show. The Honda Curator is a professional consultant who explains the exhibited cars and special exhibition models and provides consulting services to customers, and it is expected that the curator will create a new culture, maximizing the original characteristics of the motor show, which delivers information.
In addition, customers can find all the domestically sold models in one place in this exhibition, such as Accord, Civic, Odyssey and Legend (P-AWS), the outcome of Honda mobility technology. At the same time, unique events will also be held with CR-V and Pilot.
Also, Honda desires to deliver its unique, original sentiment through Honda's flagship tourer Goldwing, along with F6C, CB1100EX, PCX, Integra, and MSX125.
The Seoul Motor Show will be held at Kintex in Ilsan from April 3 to 12, starting with prior opening to the press on April 2, and Honda's exhibition hall will be operated in the Hall 9 of the second exhibition center.
