Honda Malaysia Opens 3S Centre with New "Mall" Concept in Central Region
Klang, 28 September 2017 – Honda Malaysia today opened its latest Honda 3S Centre in Malaysia, located in the fast growing township of Bandar Botanic in Klang. The well equipped and furnished Honda 3S Centre by Botanic Auto Mall Sdn. Bhd. (Botanic Auto Mall) will provide more convenience to Honda customers in Klang, where there are now two Honda 3S Centres serving the vibrant suburb.
 
Botanic Auto Mall invested approximately RM22 million into the development of the centre to create a Honda 3S Centre that is fully equipped with the latest facilities up to Honda standards and is conducive and comfortable in ambience for customers. The new Honda 3S Centre sits on a 1.7 acre land with the biggest total build-up area in Central region at almost 72,000 square feet. This new site enables a larger capacity in terms of sales and after-sales service in order to serve the growing customer base in the Central region.
 
Strategically located near amenities such as a post office, clinics, petrol stations, malls and hypermarkets, the new Honda 3S Centre will provide added convenience to customers. The area is easily accessible via main highways such as KESAS Highway, allowing it to also support additional customers from neighbouring townships of Shah Alam, Subang and Petaling Jaya. Once the soon-to-be-built MRT 3 Station is completed behind Botanic Auto Mall Honda 3S Centre, customers will have the extra convenience of travelling to any nearby destination to easily run errands while their vehicles are being serviced.
 
Planning ahead for the envisioned growth, Botanic Auto Mall Honda 3S Centre will have 24 service bays in total, accommodating up to 120 cars per day. These service bays include 5 Fast Service, 16 General Repairs, 1 Tyre Service and two Air-conditioning Service. In addition to these, the customer area is enhanced with thoughtful facilities and services including three large Executive and Contemporary Customer Lounges, Café Counter with free flow and a variety of hot drinks and snacks, Surau, Shuttle Service for customers and escalator connecting Ground Floor to First Floor, designed based on “mall” concept for customers’ added convenience and easy accessibility between levels.
 
Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Katsuto Hayashi said, “I believe Botanic Auto Mall Honda 3S Centre is an inspiration to all of us. I am pleased to note that this new Honda 3S Centre has the biggest build-up area in the Central region with the latest facilities. It is designed based on a mall concept which will provide different customer experience and added convenience with easy accessibility between floors.”
 
Since the beginning of 2017, Honda Malaysia has recorded a consistent sales record that further strengthened their No.1 position in Non-National segment and No.2 in overall TIV. All its models, led by the five new models launched this year are recording good market acceptance and its total sales as at 31 August 2017 stood at more than 70,800 units. With another new exciting model in the pipeline for 2017, Honda Malaysia is confident of achieving its 100,000 units sales target for this year.
 
The Central region is Honda Malaysia’s largest sales contributor with more than 33,400 units sold in the January to August 2017 period. This figure is an increase of 27% when compared to the same period last year. Of this total regional sales, Selangor is the highest contributor, recording more than 19,300 units sold in the first eight months this year.
 
The increase of total sales in Central region has also translated to an escalation in service intake, which grew to more than 369,700 units from January to August 2017 against more than 335,500 units serviced in the same period last year. This is a 10% growth and it underscores the need for more Honda 3S Centres in the region and also in Malaysia overall.
 
As such, Honda Malaysia is committed to expand its dealership network and will open more 3S Centres such as Botanic Auto Mall for customers’ convenience and easy accessibility especially in suburban areas. There are currently 90 Honda dealers nationwide and the company targets to grow this to 93 dealers by the end of the year to serve its enlarged customer base.
