Jakarta – PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), Honda's automobile manufacturing and sales joint venture in Indonesia, today announced plans to export the All-new Brio within the first half of 2019.
All-new Brio, produced at Honda factory in Karawang, West Java, will be exported to multiple countries in the Southeast Asia region (ASEAN), starting with Vietnam within the first half of 2019. This made Indonesia the first country to produce and export the 2nd generation Brio.
First unveiled at Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show in August 2018, All-new Brio presents a new stylish design with newly added features. Several changes have been applied in the All-New Brio to emphasize dynamic and sporty design and provide more spacious and functional cabin and luggage space. Equipped with high safety standards, the model offers fun-to-drive experince while still maintaining excellent fuel-efficiency.
Developed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., the 2nd generation Brio has been designed to fulfill the requirements of customers in small city cars segment which has been growing in several countries in ASEAN. For example in Indonesia, demand for city cars and LCGC (Low Cost Green Car) is high and increasing to the point where it accounts for approximately 22.6% of total auto sales in the country.
